Dear Customers:

Thank you for choosing the products of Shandong HaanGlas Co.,LTD.

Vacuum insulating glass has been well packaged and protected before leaving the factory:Glass are packed with firm and high-quality wooden box. Glass is separated by foam or other soft materials to ensure the safety during  long term transportation. Please read the “Vacuum Glass Installation and maintenance Manual” in detail upon receiving the glass and operate according to the requirements.

  1. Packing list is stick on wooden crate side, marked with case number, customer name, project name, product configuration, ref remark, size, quantity , area, well with rain-proof, fragile, direction markings.
  2. Transportation:Avoid squeezing and shocks during transportation, and handle it carefully. Avoid raining on glass & crates directly. When transporting, the glass length direction should be consistent with the vehicle  driving direction,Keep balanced weight to prevent falling down. Horizontal transportation is prohibit .
  3. Storage:The vacuum glass that has not been installed should be stored in a clean, cool and dry room, and free from shocks. Keep ventilation in high humidity and high temperature conditions. It is forbidden to store glass together with chemical products. The glass and wooden boxes should be kept upright, and their angle should be 5 degrees from the vertical ,with multi supporting blocks between glass edge & ground. Glass should be covered with plastic film when installation is not finished, avoid glass get wet or crashed .
  4. Handling: Use proper tools/Protective gloves/shoes/goggles to prevent injuries and damages to the products and workers when handling VIG;Pay attention to the wooden crate direction and the center of gravity.

Check VIG packaging carefully before unpacking, don’t unpack crates that is damaged,or exposed to water.

  1. Installation:During the installation process, pollution and crash should be avoided. Vacuum glass must be handled vertically (the angle with the horizontal direction is greater than 45 degrees), and it is forbidden to handle glass in horizontal direction. Do not let ropes and other construction equipment directly contact the glass during installation; it is recommended to stick a masking tape on the glass surface during the gluing process; Acid sealant is forbidden.

When installing glass to the window frame, the edge of the vacuum glass should not be in direct contact with the hard-surfaced profile such as aluminum and metal, and a soft support materials (such as sealant or rubbers) should be added, and the glass load-bearing edge (mostly the bottom edge) should have uniform force. Appropriate space should be reserved to work as buffer space: Recommended 5mm to place locating blocks and supporting blocks between glass &windows frame; Recommend 3-5mm at glass front and back direction to prevent glass breakage caused by glass or frame deformation.

The installation operation should use non-metallic and rubber-like tools for auxiliary installation. Workers should operate gently, avoid impact on the glass. The contact force between the glass sides and the window frame should be uniform to avoid the windows deforming. The vacuum glass should be fixed with the window frame in time, and when the vacuum glass is installed in the opening fan, the opening fan and the window frame must be locked or fixed to avoid potential damage caused by wind.

  1. Further processing:Vacuum glass can be further processed into hybrid insulated glass or hybrid laminated glass. Glass cleaning must be done with a soft brush and neutral detergent (deionized water is recommended).

Other further processing-Cutting,Holes,bending,tempering process is strictly prohibited.

  1. Maintenance:Avoid using solvents that contain acids, fluoride salts, or hydrogen fluoride when cleaning glass. Indoor heating and cooling devices should keep a certain distance from the glass. Avoid direct blowing of hot and cold air to the glass surface, which may cause the glass thermal breakage.

Please follow above storage and transportation, and installation, further processing and daily maintenance rules according to above manual. We are not responsible for quality complaints beyond the scope of normal use and processing, including:

  • Prohibited installation environment:
    1. Long term high temperature & moisture environment.
    2. Temperature difference between internal and external over 50 degrees.
    3. Chemically corrosive gas or liquids environment.
    4. Places with continuous severe vibration.
    5. Pressure difference between internal and external over 5000Pa.
  • Improper handling and storage
  • Further processing of VIG
  • Damages or breakage caused by impacts.
